Return the newest batch selection back to entry date instead of expiration date.

The expiration dates can be mixed up and do not always run consistently depending on suppliers. When a new vaccine is entered in the system then that is the current batch regardless of expiration date. So, the most recent batch entered is the one that should be tied to invoices and vaccine certificates (not the expiration date).

Example—- Right now Neo is choosing batches that we used a year or more ago, instead of our current stock.

To all of NEO staff, especially the decision makers....

You do realize we purchased your product in an attempt to make our work lives easier, right? Why would anyone choose this product knowing you clearly do not understand the impact of what this change means. You claim ease with inventory control as a product feature. Fail.

If your business and your livelihood were relying on NEO - you would not take such a mistake lightly.

Inventory control MEANS keep track of batches, dates, etc and keeping those records so we have historical data to revisit should recalls occur! You have the responsibility to correct this change. Please change it back immediately.

You may not like reading this type of message, but I hope you take in the stress and damage this change (and the way it was implemented) has caused. Please do not take it lightly, nor ignore the responses you have received.

The fact there is more than 1 person/business that did not get the impact of your update for something this important means there was a failure in your procedure to notify your clients of such an important change. You protect from a product label being printed before it is prescribed, why would you not have made this have similar restrictions?

This is a legal mess! One that your company has created for all your clients!

You have opened us all up for legal action as we have now issued inaccurate legal documents (rabies certificates) every day since November.

This change also negatively impacts daily work flow due to the addition of more "clicks" in the already cumbersome task of printing a label or certificate.

This change increases the chance of mistakes - because even though the drop down menu is present, having the default anything but the newest, means you can still print without noticing you have not made a choice. (Please refer my previous comment about having to prescribe before printing for medications - you added a failsafe there... why not with something as important as an expiration date! )

Maybe I missed something .... perhaps you meant to have the default on the NEWEST date and then your program could allow picking another date if needed. In what situation would it make sense to default to the oldest date?

    Dr. Thomas (owner and veterinarian)

    Please help us.

    Well said 2.8.23!

I just found out about the change that was made today (2.8.2023), after noticing yet again a Rabies Certificate that I printed had the wrong batch number and expiration date, believing I had re-fixed the situation 4 days ago when I first discovered it. I was told by Neo Support that this ridiculous, misinformed decision was made and implemented on 11.22.2022, meaning I have nearly 300 vaccines that are incorrectly recorded for my patients, with potentially 184 owners being issued erroneous Rabies certificates. The liability is huge if one of these vaccines is recalled or if there is a vaccine break. I don't even know how to fix this, and I shouldn't have to spend time trying to trick the system back into picking the correct batch. Please return it to the way it was, immediately. Thank you.

This change has completely messed up our patient records! We have many patient files now showing we administered a vaccine or medication that was expired because Neo grabbed an old batch number and Not the most recent. This has caused a paperwork nightmare for my staff! Please return the batch system to how it was. What was the reason to change this?!
