It would be nice if we could add some sort of image or symbol beside the pets name to notify anyone that the animal is a caution or aggressive or will bite, etc. Sometimes you dont have time to see the alerts you make so a quick symbol or image will catch your eye quicker and everyone will be aware. For the safety of everyone.
Also the caution or alert saved at the top of the saved medical record PDF.
Temperament notes should be customizable and color coded. On the schedule, it would be helpful to have an icon to determine species/temperament (green for friendly, red for caution, etc.) so that it is easy to determine a patient's behavior before walking in the room.
I fellow employee was stating that this was available on the software she was using at her last practice. Each time an appt was made for that patient it put both the image of the species (dog/cat/bird/etc) and was color coded as to temperament and special needs in the upper right hand corner! That would be so convenient!
Or changing the color of the patient name if they are a caution would be helpful.
This would be very useful!
Alerts for temperament would be great, but instead of "aggressive/willbite/etc" maybe make it more fitting for fear free. An FAS alert under vitals would be superb
Maybe alert temperaments like how deceased alert on the patient is highlighted in black - would be nice to next to the pet's name maybe highlighted in orange for temperaments.
Yes, if a symbol could be applied that would be great! Also, under Temperament shown on the scheduling page can be bolded in red on the patient.
please give us a function to make the letter BOLD.
at my clinics, we just type the pet's name in CAPS... and owner's name in CAPS give us warning about them too!
In our clinic we use an asterisk after the patient's name (Fluffy*) to indicate "caution" with this pet. It also works with disagreeable clients. It is small, and inconspicuous mark so if the client were to see it on paperwork it isn't offensive.
I agree, this should be visible from the Schedule view.
Our current workaround is both an alert on the patient, and we BOLD the patient name and can see it on the schedule. (Unfortunately when you click on the appointment, the information box that comes up has the name automatically bolded. : (
This is a safety issue and I know I have been asking for this for a few years.
Yes it should be visible/indicate from the Schedule VIEW not just when you go into the patient file.
