NetSuite (Oracle Corp.) - Integrating Accounting & Inventory Management from our Neo
We're happy users of Neo for our practice management front end. We desperately need to improve our accounting and inventory management work on our back end. We've purchased NetSuite from Oracle to move onto from QuickBooks Desktop and are working on setting up a process to take CSV report files from Neo and upload them into NetSuite on a periodic basis. If we're successful, NetSuite will become where we can fully manage our inventory, accounting and bookkeeping, and Neo will remain the application that our clinic staff work in to schedule appointments, dispense supplies, prescriptions and services, writeup invoices for customers, handle patient medical records, order IDEXX lab work and services, etc. Can a Neo Product Manager get in touch with me to discuss any ways in which Neo's team can be of any assistance to us in doing this?
Two things specifically which would be of enormous potential help for us (and potentially many other Neo customers) would be Neo providing the capability to create our own custom reports that would give us full, read-only access to all our Neo data fields and records, and all our Neo transaction fields and records. At the very least in that scenario, we could take charge ourselves of determining and obtaining our data in Neo we need in order to succeed with our project.
The other capability which also would be of great help would be an API to Neo. At the very least, that makes it possible for customers to help themselves make use of Neo in ways that IDEXX/Neo may not decide is worth investing its own resources in providing and supporting.
Finally, in the case of Neo and NetSuite, it's really a bigger picture between IDEXX and Oracle. Both are large companies, with many customers. A collaborative effort between the two for these products would be an opportunity to strengthen the power of both products for customers and prospective new customers of both companies.
