Products: Add serial number or Drug Identification Number (DIN) field and form variable

I need a form variable added so that the DIN can be auto-populated onto our dispensing labels. We have been adding the DINs under additional info in the product section. Would there be a way this box could be added as a variable?

    You can add it as a form variable as under Extra (custom) fields. Thats what we had to do as well.
