Forms & Certificates: Display spayed, neutered, or intact instead of Y or N for neutered status on forms

Would like for the [neutered] form variable to display spayed, neutered or intact based on the sex of the patient instead of just a simple Y or N.

    Thank you for your comment.

Please note the status of this enhancement request is "Released", meaning the feature is available!

In fact, this update was released back in April 2021 as part of the Manage patient species, breeds, and sexes feature.

See IDEXX Neo Release Notes - April 29, 2021 for details about that release.

The Y/N flag can be removed from any of your forms & certificates templates; and your patient sexes can be modified, if needed, under Administration > Patient Settings. Please contact Neo Support if you need assistance.

This is a very important topic especially when it comes to vaccine certificates that are used for health certificates. Y / N for intact vs. neutered is a very odd why to denote the alter status. It should be SPAY or NEUTERED.

So many other veterinary staff when they see N on check in sheet assume that N stands for neutered when in fact it stands for NO not neutered. I have had USDA health certificates returned because these misunderstandings.

Please make this change -- SPAY vs. NEUTER as it is universally known in the Veterinary community.
