Communications: Ability to unsubscribe from SMS (do no attempt to send sms appointment reminder if unsubscribed)

Would like SMS to not be sent if the cellular phone number is not entered or if they user could unsubscribe from SMS.

This article provides information on the new SMS requirements and how they affect text messaging pricing for RingCentral customers. Recently, mobile carriers made significant changes to the SMS/MMS text messaging regulations as granted by the FCC. These changes aim to decrease the number of spam messages sent by fraudsters. As a result, all RingCentral customers in US and Canada should expect the following impacts:
- Campaign registration soon for your business SMS/MMS use cases
- New requirements, such as getting permission before sending SMS/MMS and allowing recipients the chance to opt out at any time
- Additional charges for higher SMS/MMS usage:
  - Carriers apply different surcharges depending on message type (SMS/MMS) and direction (sent/received).
  - Thus, RingCentral provides a certain number of messages in our plans to cover the per-message carrier surcharge.
